2017 Year in Review – 2018 Commitment
We close our 84th year at the end of 2017.
We take great satisfaction that we were able to advise, assist, and yes—give peace of mind—to our many clients this year. We also take pride in our ability to provide legal services and solutions in a personal manner. We celebrate the many treasured relationships we have with our clients.
As we embark on our 85th year, we will continue to be so motivated. We look forward to new opportunities to assist you in 2018.
As we close 2017, we have taken some time to reflect on events and accomplishments that made the last year so exciting and rewarding.
Some highlights of 2017 were:
Community involvement. To serve our community, we have continued to look to ways to invest in our community and support our nonprofits. We sponsored and participated in several community events, including the West Bend East v. West soccer game supporting breast cancer patients, the Kewaskum KEYS Run/Walk, the NAMI of Washington County Strike Out Stigma Bowling Event, and the Kettle Moraine YMCA Golf Outing.
Greater Milwaukee Foundation Awards. Community-minded Attorney James A. Spella was named the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s 2017 Professional Adviser of the Year for his decades of thoughtful service to clients in West Bend and beyond. Attorney James R. Danaher and Attorney Amanda N. Follett were also recognized for their commitment to charitable gifting by admission into the Herbert J. Mueller Society.
Dan Sargeant’s Retirement. After 36 years with Schloemer and an accomplished family law practice, Dan Sargeant retired in 2017. He is now enjoying his well-earned retirement.
Amazing Staff. We have been truly blessed to have an amazing staff to support us in all of our endeavors. 2017 has been a year of new opportunities, growth, transitions, and challenges, and we could not have been successful without the support, strength, and commitment to excellence that everyone in our office brings to work with them every day. Thank you.
Website & Social Media. To better serve our clients and find new ways to communicate relevant news and updates, 2017 saw a new website and the start of a Schloemer Facebook page and blog.
Kewaskum Office. This fall, we celebrated the one year anniversary of the opening of our Kewaskum office.
Notable Transactions. Finally, we helped countless families and businesses through all stages of their life, from buying a first home to selling a successful business. There are a few transactions that are especially memorable that we would like to share. Attorneys at Schloemer Law Firm assisted the Reigle family in donating 31 acres to the Village of Kewaskum to be used for youth sports facilities. We also helped Kewaskum Remembers 9/11, Inc. obtain status as a 501(c)(3) organization. Thank you to all of our clients for letting us assist you in these most important matters!
Thanks for a great year, and here’s to looking at 2018!
