Early Career
Attorney Laura E. O’Gorman earned a B.A. in History from Virginia Wesleyan College and a J.D. Degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. She spent the earliest years of her career working for both civil defense and civil litigation firms.
Current Career
Laura joined Schloemer Law Firm in 2013. Her practice focuses on general civil litigation and family law. She frequently represents clients on matters related to: contract disputes, collection matters, insurance litigation, landlord/tenant matters, personal injury, divorce, and child custody matters among other litigation matters.
She lives in Menomonee Falls with her husband, Sean, and children.
Practice Philosophy
My favorite part about being a litigator is helping people navigate through what is often a difficult time. In many cases, including personal injury and family law matters, my clients have not truly dealt with the legal system in the past and need guidance on what to expect and best practices. Even for my business clients who have more experience with civil litigation, each case is still a unique set of facts and applicable laws, and they, too, need my help to make certain that they achieve the best result possible. I appreciate that I am able to use my legal skills and knowledge to facilitate favorable outcomes and to benefit the interests of my clients.
